Easter in Magical Egypt

civilization needs little introduction. The pyramids, the minarets, the Nile
- the scope of Egypt is magnificent. Join me this Easter on a Journey to
this magnificent country. We will visit many of the sacred sites where
spiritual growth is inevitable. Be inspired by the open heartedness and
giving nature of the Egyptian people. Go back in time and discover the
country that is said to be the "Mother of the World."

Itinerary:
- 25/03/2012 (Sunday)
Board your Egypt Air Flight to Cairo from OR Tambo in
Johannesburg.
- 26/03/2012 (Monday)
Arrive in Cairo, where we get a connecting flight to Aswan.
Upon arrival
in Aswan, we will be met by a Graceway Travel representative.
Travel by
deluxe coach to our Cruise and check in for a 3 night stay.
After
settling in and unpacking, there will be a visit to a Nubian Village.
In
the evening we will have dinner on the cruise and enjoy the
entertainment provided.

Breakfast on the cruise.
Transfer by coach and motorboat to Philae
Temple (dedicated to the Goddess Isis), on the island of Philae.
In the
afternoon we will sail to Kom Ombo and visit the Kom Ombo Temple,
dedicated to the Gods Sobek and Horus.
Dinner on the cruise and free
time to relax.

28/03/2012 (Wednesday)
After breakfast we will visit the Temple of
Edfu. This Temple is dedicated to the God Horus, the Falcon Headed God.
Cruise the Nile and enjoy the sights and sounds of Egypt while we sail
to Luxor.
Dinner on the Nile Cruiser and enjoy evening entertainment.
- 29/03/2012 (Luxor) (Thursday)
Breakfast on the cruise.
Optional Hot Air Balloon ride over the West Bank ($100).
Transfer to Sonesta St George Hotel in Luxor.
Visit the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, the Collosi of
Memnon and Hatshepsut Temple.
Dinner in Luxor.
Optional visit to the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple ($45).

After breakfast we will visit the Karnak Temple on the East Bank. This
is the biggest Temple in Egypt and took 1300 years to construct.
Later we will visit the Luxor Temple which is also on the East
Bank.
Dinner in Luxor.
- 31/03/2012 (Saturday)
Breakfast in the Hotel.
Check out of the hotel and travel by coach to Abydos where we will visit
the Temple of Dendara, dedicated to the Goddess Hathor, goddess of love
and joy.
From Abydos we will travel to Hurghada and check into our hotel. (Movenpick
Elgouna)

Breakfast.
Free Time - enjoy your day at the beach or sightseeing and
shopping.
Optional: snorkeling or going on a submarine to experience the beauty of
the coral-red barrier with its living colors and the fish in their
natural Red Sea habitat. ($50)
Dinner at your own expense.

Breakfast at the Hotel.
Free Time.
Optional Super Safari: Take a 4 X 4 jeep into the desert where
you will stop to have some fun trying to navigate through the dunes on a
Quad bike. After a short camel ride you stop in a Bedouin Camp to have a
look around and learn about the Bedouin Lifestyle. After climbing a
small mountain to watch the sun set over the desert you can enjoy a
Bedouin dinner and be entertained by the music and Belly Dancer.

After breakfast, check out of the Hotel.
Flight to Alexandria.
Check into Hotel (Paradise Inn Windsor Palace Alexandria).

After Breakfast we will visit Pompey's Pillar,
Qaitbay Fort and the Roman Amphitheatre.
Spend the evening touring the
city.
Overnight at the hotel.
- 05/04/2012 (Thursday)
Breakfast at the Hotel.
Visit the El Morsy Abu el Abbas Mosque (it is the most historic and most
beautiful mosque in Alexandria).
In the afternoon we take our coach and head towards Cairo.
Check in and overnight at Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa.
- 06/04/2012 (Cairo) (Good Friday)
Breakfast.
Then off to The Citadel of Saladin (Salah El-Din) built between 1176
& 1182 AD. It played a major role in the history of Cairo being used
as a fortress, a palace and the seat of power for many invading leaders.
The complex houses The Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, The Military
Museum and the Outdoor Coptic & Islamic Cairo. Find out about the
journey through Egypt by Mary, Joseph and the child Jesus to escape the
wrath of King Herod, a journey that took over three years to complete.
This is a wonderful way to spend Good Friday, exploring the way Coptic
Christians celebrate Easter.
Visit The Egyptian Museum. The section containing King Tutankhamen's
treasures is particularly fascinating and well worth a visit.
Shop at Khan el-Khalili Street Bazaar and drink tea and smoke Shisha and
watch the world go by in the famous café Mohfouz.

- 07/04/2012 (Saturday)
After breakfast, meet our tour guide and enjoy a half day city tour of
Cairo.
We will visit the Pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx.
Dinner at the hotel.
Optional Sound and Light Show at the Pyramids ($45).
- 08/04/2012 (Sunday)
Breakfast.
Free time.
Check out of the Hotel and leave for Cairo Airport for our flight home.
