Amazing facts about the Great Pyramid of Cheops

The Great Pyramid of Cheops at Giza is probably the most remarkable building in existence on the face of our planet today. It was built with such precision that our current technology cannot replicate it.

Even the mortar used in building the pyramid is of an unknown origin- it cannot be reproduced, is stronger than stone and is still holding up today.

The Great Pyramid is also the most accurately aligned structure in existence on our Earth: it faces true north with only 3/60th of a degree of error. The position of the North Pole has moved away from true north over time because of the changes in the Earth's magnetic field, but to this day the Great Pyramid stays aligned to our true north pole despite these magnetic changes that have taken place over the ages.

The Great Pyramid of Cheops holds many mysteries, and with its mantle of shining material (that is missing now), it would have been visible from as far away as the mountains in Israel - and probably the Moon as well! Its polished surfaces would have reflected light like a beacon.

The passages in the Great Pyramid too have many astronomical alignments i.e. they face in a particular direction towards a star- most notably the Queens Chamber's southern shaft faces the Star Sirius, our biggest star in our galaxy and associated with the Egyptian goddess Isis, and the southern shaft of the Kings Chamber faces the Orion Constellation associated with the Egyptian god Osiris, the husband of Isis.

The pyramid also has some very important earth factors. There is so much stone mass in the Great Pyramid that the interior temperature is constant and equals the average temperature of the Earth- 20 degrees Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit. And so just being inside of the Great Pyramid is like being in the very heart of Mother Earth!

The pyramid is also located at the centre of the land mass of our Earth: the east/west parallel that crosses the most land and the north/south meridian that crosses the most land, intersect in two places on the Earth - one in the ocean - and the other - at the Great Pyramid of Cheops! And the cornerstone foundations of the pyramid have ball and socket construction that are most capable of dealing with heat expansion and earthquakes.

No wonder it is said that "Humans fear Time, but Time fears the Pyramid" - it is virtually indestructible!

Spiritual purpose

It was known in ancient times that all light and sound wave energies from outer space enter our planet through the true north pole, and so it can be said that the main purpose of the Great Pyramid with its true north alignment was to bring into our planet the advanced frequencies from space.

It was built by star born people who knew, understood and communicated with the more subtle energies of the Stars and Mother Earth and its true purpose was to create a sacred place where humans and the cosmic forces of space could meet and communicate easily and find a heart connection.

We are so lucky to have it with us here on Earth!

Invitation

Join me on a very unique and sacred healing journey of Egypt.

On the journey we will visit some magnificent temples along the Nile - the Sacred Mother of Rivers that gives life to the land and nourishment to the people. You will be able to explore your connection to the gods and goddess of Ancient Egypt and also meet a Master Egyptian Energy healer. And then finally- we will prepare ourselves for an amazing encounter with the Great Pyramid at the end of our journey.

Come and find the true spiritual power of Egypt - that is there for you to receive…

What makes SACRED EARTH RETREATS so special?

Small groups, affordable pricing, lots of fun… and soul growth. And you will almost certainly come home with some great new friends!

On a journey you are also introduced to Egypt in a very special way- to become more aware of the spiritual energies of Egypt! And with that you are able to unlock so many, many more gifts of healing than when you are merely going there as a tourist for the first time.

On the practical side, most tour operators pack in many temples and site visits on a day leaving little time other than just to have a walk around and take photographs. On this trip you will see the most important sites and areas related to ancient Egyptian and also have an Egyptian guide, but you will more importantly be able to be quiet and experience the special atmosphere of each place. You can only feel the profound effect of a sacred place when you are able to go within, be still and become more than an ordinary tourist.

Preparation is also done before a visit to a site so that you are able to energetically tune into the site with a positive intention and it is not uncommon for participants to have past life memories and healing experiences surface before or after a visit, that help to awaken them spiritually and facilitate healing on all levels.

After each visit to a place, we also have the opportunity to share our experiences as a group and to work with integrating these gifts and healings we receive so as to make it a spiritual journey in the true sense of the word.

We will also be learning how to work with our awareness of the cosmic unseen forces of nature and so be able to tune into the energy worlds of Egypt!

Participants are encouraged to go with an intention to enjoy the trip, but also contribute something to the healing of the Earth, Egypt, the local people and the animals. This is part of living from the Heart!

Please note that nothing on the scheduled programme is compulsory - it is there to help and assist you to have a healing and spiritual experience of Egypt, but it is up to you as to how and when you want to join in. Having said that, I would encourage you to do take part in as much as you can, because very often it is by taking yourself out of your comfort zone that magic happens! What is so special about the trips in 2010? The dates chosen above are given under guidance to make sure that the trip happens at the most auspicious and spiritually awakening time of the year, and are most beneficially healing for the group and Egypt.

It is always timed in connection with the positions of the Moon and on this journey we start with a new moon- a new beginning.

ALSO THE TRIP WILL BE TAKING PLACE DURING THE IMPORTANT TIME OF 10.10.2010- A GATEWAY FOR NEW BEGINNINGS when we will be at the Temple of Isis at Philae on the Nile.

Visit to Citadel: One of Cairo's most popular tourist attractions is the Citadel which houses a number of museums, ancient mosques and other sites, located on a spur of limestone that had been detached from its parent Moqattam Hills by quarrying. The Citadel is one of the world's greatest monuments to medieval warfare, as well as a highly visible landmark on Cairo's eastern skyline. Particularly when viewed from the back side (from the north), the Citadel reveals a very medieval character. Mohammed Ali Mosque.
Visit to Bazaar: Khan el-Khalili, once known as the Turkish bazaar during the Ottoman period, is now usually just called the 'Khan', and the names of it and the Muski market are often used interchangeably to mean either. The market was built in 1382 by the Emir Djaharks el-Khalili in the heart of the Fatimid City. Together with the al-Muski market to the west, they comprise one of Cairo's most important shopping areas. But more than that, they represent the market tradition which established Cairo as a major center of trade, and at the Khan, one will still find foreign merchants. Perhaps, this very market was involved in the spice monopoly controlled by the Mamluks, which encouraged the Europeans to search for new routes to the East and led Columbus, indirectly, to discover the Americas.
